Quartz Gazette April 2016

So not much has happened, life's been rather boring. Well February 13th was my birthday, but quite honestly it didn't really change much (beside my age) and oh I did get a drawing tablet. I've sketched out an outfit design and I think I'm gonna take a stab and sewing it. Wish me luck!

Also this post is like 200,000 miles long cause I haven't posted one in a while. I apologize for that...

(Tons of Carry On) Quote Love

  • ONCE UPON A TIME "Kid, you need to go home. Where's your mom? She's gonna kill me, and then you, and then me again."
  • MULAN Shang: "Seems your grandma invited someone to help us celebrate the engagement." Mulan: "Really?... Who?" Shang: "China."
  • LILO & STITCH Lilo: "Don't worry. She likes your butt and fancy hair. I know. I read her diary." David: "She thinks it's fancy?"
  • CARRY ON He's the same on the field as he is everywhere else. Strong. Graceful. Fucking ruthless.
  • CARRY ON For a moment—not even a moment, a split second—I imagine him saying, "The truth is, I'm desperately attracted to you." And then I imagine myself spitting in his face. And then I imagine licking it off his cheek and kissing him. (Because I'm disturbed. Ask anyone.)
  • CARRY ON "You want me to work on this with you, but . . . you also want to push me down the stairs."
  • CARRY ON He sneers. "Do you think this is a setup? That I brought my mother back from the dead to fuck with you?"
  • CARRY ON It was fucking beautiful when the chimera noticed Baz first, hiding in the trees, and went after him instead of me. I should have let the monster have the go of him. It would have served Baz right . . .
  • CARRY ON I retaliated by putting the polecat in his wardrobe, which wasn't much of a retaliation since we share a room.
  • CARRY ON "Then I won't stop!" he says, like he's the one who should be angry. "Is that better? I'll damned well marry her, and we'll have the best-looking kids in the history of magic, and we'll name them all Simon all to get under your skin."
  • CARRY ON How do you pick up from, "I have to stop kissing you, so I can drink some blood"
  • CARRY ON "No," he says. "Why would I want that? Why would that thought even occur to me? ‘Hey, you know what would fix this miserable situation with the vampires and my mother and the war and the decline of magic? Snogging my halfwit room-mate. The one who well probably fuck my life for good someday. That's a plan."
  • CARRY ON That's when creeping on Snow felt like my life's consolation prize.
  • RACE TO THE EDGE "Ruffnut marries the guard, divorces him, and gets the key in the settlement."
  • RACE TO THE EDGE "Come on out to screaming death island. We'll have a few laughs. Get killed"

Special Extra Long Quote From The Summer of Chasing Mermaids

If everyone followed rules
As they were written, as they were said
You wouldn't be allowed to vote.
The rule of thumb, as the saying goes, comes from the old rules
In which a man was allowed to beat his wife
So long as the implement was no wider than his thumb.
If everyone followed rules
My family would not own a cocoa farm
And I wouldn't be looking you in the eye, women to women.
Lucky for you, someone defied rules.
Lucky for me, someone spoke out against them.
Lucky for my friend, the little blond mermaid-
Wait he wasn't lucky.
No one defied the rules for him.
No one stood up and said that boys marching in the mermaid parade are perfectly acceptable.
That HE is perfectly acceptable
And acceptably perfect.
Rules are rules, yet still
trumped always by kindness and human decency.
Let. Him. March.
