{Loves Of Late #2} My New Obsession Miraculous Ladybug

Loves of Late #2 Miraculous Ladybug

BOOKS

I've discovered a few gems lately, even though I haven't been reading much. Life's sort of been catching up with me and even when I do sit down and read it's an audiobook, so I can multitask. Also semester finals are creeping up and I've been reviewing {for school} like crazy.

BEAUTY'S DAUGHTER: THE STORY OF HERMIONE & TROY

I really enjoyed this novel, it's fresh take on the old legend of Helen of Troy and the Trojan War.

The story spans several years, from Prince Paris arriving in Sparta all the way to a few years after the Trojan Wars ending.

Beauty's Daughter follows Hermione the daughter of Helen.

MOVIES/TV SHOWS

I haven't been watching as many movies I'd like to for the same reasons as with books. But I've managed to squeeze in a favorite move and a new obsession over an new animated TV series.

THE PEANUTS MOVIE

This movie was delightful. It's animation retains the same hand drawn look as from the older animated cartoons. It was a sweet, and very reminiscent.

All of the beloved characters appear, including Lucy, Peppermint Patty, Marcie, Pigpen, Charlie Brown, Snoopy and etc.

Though I'm not to keen on the fact that during the movie the little red haired girl oddly enough never gets a name.

I have an incredible weakness for animation. And apparently a huge weakness for love squares, especially love squares with only two people.

So basically it's a super hero animation, but what's unique is that the powers are anime style and the original version is in French.

As Americans we don't really have a lot of dubs, subs and translation in our market. Since we kind of are the center of the world's entertainment whether it's movies, TV shows or books all of it tends to be originally in English. Which is why it's so nice to see something like this.

Also it has a lot of diversity, seeing that the main character is biracial {1/2 Asian 1/2 French.}
