How Did I Come To The Book Blogging World?

Okay I'm a new blogger. I haven't even been around for a year yet (almost there) But my path into book blogging is honestly a bit different. So I thought I'd talk about it. (I'm not sure why exactly I picked a picture with a mushroom in it.)

I never sat down and decided to become a book blogger. In fact in the start I was determined to be a DIY blogger, but it wasn't really for me. You can see the remains of my failed attempt in the one tutorial I still have up on Quartzfeather for some odd reason.

When that didn't work I tried Booktubing. Being a Booktuber also didn't work out cause 1.) I didn't want to show my face and 2.) I didn't have a really good camera.

After this I stopped trying to blog or make videos for about a year, but by now my trial and errors had already left behind a slew of abandoned blogs and youtube channels.

Then I began writing White As Snow, and I decided I wanted a writing blog of sorts. So I created Cassidy Jiang, which would soon come to be known as Quartzfeather, but I'm getting ahead of myself.

My very first post was appropriately me gushing over the Winter cover. It was posted on May 20th. Then my first ever book review was on The Queen by Kiera Cass and it was posted on May 4th. There wasn't really a particular moment where Cassidy Jiang (now Quartzfeather) became a book blog, I think it was moreover a gradually thing.

Then on August 12th I announced my name change. And a day later I became Quartzfeather. I think this was really the point book blogging became a serious hobby to me. When finally knew I'd found my internet niche.

So now I'm here, and I can't wait to continue my little blogging journey. (Stars that was cheesy)
