{Quartz Gazette #2} Tiny Blog Design Changes + I Got Winter

Quartz Gazette December

Hello peoples, so I've decided on a posting schedule for the Quartz Gazette It will be posted every other Saturday, every week was too much for me but every month was too little, so I settled on every other week.

Also blog font. I've changed it yet again. I previously had open sans, but that was too... how should I put it. Fat? The bold words looked bulky and hard to read, and I tend to prefer thinner fonts. I was considering Raleway for a little, but in the end I choose Lato.

Another blog design change I'm really happy with? The post footers. They weren't all that pretty, and they were bothering me, so finally one day I decided to make a change. First I am really undeniably proud of my new social media buttons, and also I'm happy to have made my related posts thing fit in better. Plus new pin it button! Wooo!

IcicleDrowning my sorrows in Anna & the French Kiss by @naturallysteph at 2:00 AM in the morning. Reading How to Fight a Dragon

Book Notes AKA Quote Love

  • HOW TO FIGHT A DRAGON'S FURY {Review Coming Soon} It is a father's worse nightmare to watch his son go out and face the death that he would gladly have taken instead of him.
  • HOW TO FIGHT A DRAGON'S FURY {Review Coming Soon}"Because: Love Never Dies, What is Within is More Important than What is Without, The Best is Not Always the Most Obvious and Once You've Loved Truly, Thor, then You Know the Way"
  • ANNA AND THE FRENCH KISS "Anna, Anna," Josh interrupts. "If I had a euro for every stupid thing I've done, I could buy the Mona Lisa. You'll be fine."
  • LOLA AND THE BOY NEXT DOOR "Just because something isn't practical doesn't mean it's not worth creating. Sometimes beauty and real-life magic are enough."
  • ISLA AND THE HAPPILY EVER AFTER "There's no story, I just saw you and I knew."

Quartz Reviews AKA The Leaning Pile of Books

  • ANNA AND THE FRENCH KISS Reread 5/5 Just as amazing as I remembered. Stephanie Perkins is amazing, her book is one of the reasons I started blogging.
  • LOLA AND THE BOY NEXT DOOR Reread 5/5 Can't reread Anna and not reread Lola. I loved this one, but not nearly as much as Anna, but it was still swoon worthy.
  • ISLA AND THE HAPPILY EVER AFTER Reread 4/5 And of course I read Isla, but as with the first time, I didn't quite like Isla as much other two main characters, but the book still had the same amazingness as all of Stephanie Perkins books. {THE ENDING!!!!}
  • HOW TO FIGHT A DRAGON'S FURY {Review Coming Soon} 5/5 Oh the tears, it takes a lot for me to start bawling, sure I'll tear up, but actually crying. No. You have to hit me really hard. And this book, I was just spilling out tears. Also worse book hangover, ever.
  • THESE BROKEN STARS CURRENT DNF 2/5 Not a definite DNF but for now it's on hold, got a bit bored in all honesty.
  • BEAUTY'S DAUGHTER 4/5 Beautifully crafted tale, really did enjoy it. But it didn't quite keep a whole grasp on me the entire time, lacking in some small areas.
  • WINTER 5/5 I am ecstatic. I finally got my hands on Winter, the audiobook version too beat!!!! Loving it so far, Winter {the character} is like amazing, and I adore her.
