2015 End of the Year Survery

Well sooooo, I really wanted to do this this end of the year survey, but because I only started really recording my reading journey on Goodreads this month and have only been in book blogger sphere for two months shy of a year so I don't really have very accurate records.

So err *feels like huge failer failure* just bear with me. {I can't even spell failure right apparently.}

PS: I used my amazing re-coloring skills on the little icon you made, I hope you don't mind Jamie.

Most Unique Book You Read in 2015?

My Blogging/Bookish Life

New Favorite Book Blog(s) You Discovered in 2015?

Okay, I'm cheating on this one. Since I'm like really new to the blogging world I've discovered like a bunch of new favorite blogs so I am not choosing, they are all too great to pick just one.

  • NOSE GRAZE Ashley is thee coding queen. Like I mean her stuff just blows me away + her website is super gorgeous. And her post are amazing.
  • PAPER FURY Cait has an amazing sense of humor and her posts are always entertaining + she adores dragons too! Also her blog is really pretty (as you can see I can't resist a pretty blog design)
  • THE DAILY PROPHECY I adore Mel, she is just perfection. I love her Let it Go feature and I need to participate in her Retelling Challenge + her blog is fairytale themed I can't help but love it.
  • THESE PAPER HEARTS Stephanie's reviewing style is so unique, I just love it. Like I mean all those fancy graphs and charts + she's a coder and all of her tutorials yield very pretty things!
  • WORD ELIXIRS Who doesn't love this name?  Lara is a naming genius {her blog name used to be The Paperback Princess, isn't that pretty?} Also GIFs, I for one probably will never use GIFs in my reviews but they're still fun to see in other peoples posts + her tumblr is bae.

Favorite Review That You Wrote in 2015?

  • WINTER Writing this review was a ton of fun (and I had a lot to say, this is my longest review yet) Since my very first post was about Winter's cover reveal this review was extra special. And even though I haven't technically posted the review yet, it's still my favorite.

Best Event That You Participated In? (author signings, festivals, virtual events, memes, etc.)

Best Moment of Bookish/Blogging Life in 2015?

  • Probably when I finished the post footer for my blog. It's basically the only thing I did without a bunch of help from tutorials and whatnot (though the code for the social media share buttons and similar post stuff were from tutorials) It was my first actual time writing CSS so I felt a teeny weeny bit proud, there's just something about accomplishing something yourself that feels nice.

Best Bookish Discover? (book related sites, book stores, etc.)

Most Challenging Thing About Blogging Or Your Reading Life This Year?

  • Probably the confusingness of HTML/CSS and don't even mention Javascript *cringe* I never did any real coding but I did have to play around with it when designing my blog (there's only so many tutorials on the web) just the other day I was struggling with a jQuery script conflict. Though it's not all bad I've gained some knowledge concerning HTML code and I've discovered I really like web design.

Looking Ahead

One Book You Didn’t Get To In 2015 But Will Be Your #1 Priority in 2016?

Book You Are Most Anticipating For 2016?

Things You Hope To Accomplish Or Do In Your Reading/Blogging Life In 2016?

  • I'd like to for own get some more readers, right now QuartzFeather is a rather small blog and I'd like to gain a larger audience.
  • Take more book photo's. I just started with this and it's pretty fun but I'm a little scarce on props and books.
  • Buy more books, before moving this year I didn't have that much space for books so in result I didn't have many books, but now I do. More books!
  • Get better at blogging, there is always room to improve, but being such a newbie I have a lot of space to grow.
  • Mayhaps become a booktuber, I've considered this for a while but to do that I'd need to get a better camera.
  • Read more physical books, I've been mostly an audiobook person this year but I miss reading books with pages, but with how busy I've been audiobooks have been the better choice since I can multitask.

Series Ending/A Sequel You Are Most Anticipating in 2016?

Thank you guys, you don't know how much you all mean to me. My blog's about to turn one really soon and I'm super excited. Just two more months, I seriously can't believe it. Being a book blogger has changed my world {in the good way} and I'm extremely lucky to have all of you amazing readers.
