Isla and the Happily Ever After By Stephanie Perkins Review

Stephanie Perkins is amazing!!!!!! I binge read the whole three books in one weekend it was way too good. This book was amazing, I'll rate it as my second favorite of the "series". It's very cute and romantic but has a little more fire than the others. You should definitely read it.

Hopeless romantic Isla has had a crush on introspective cartoonist Josh since their first year at the School of America in Paris. And after a chance encounter in Manhattan over the summer, romance might be closer than Isla imagined. But as they begin their senior year back in France, Isla and Josh are forced to confront the challenges every young couple must face, including family drama, uncertainty about their college futures, and the very real possibility of being apart *end of non-spoiler section*

Booktalk The couple is very cute they work quite well together, I have to say the plot was really different, because instead of spending so much time getting together they actually got together rather quickly. I have to say this probably wasn't my favorite out of all of them, Isla wasn't the best, I can't quite say why, I just didn't like her. Okay, Josh. He is probably my least favorite love interest in all of the books, I think for me it was probably the rule breaking, but that might just be me. The couple was cute but, not my favorite. I felt they were to physical and didn't have as much talking. I don't mean I didn't like the kissing and other stuff but I still prefer Anna and  Etienne. Isla and Josh really aren't my type of couple. I felt they got serious to quickly, and Isla's self esteem issues were a little annoying. I totally see why she has them, but anyone could see that Josh was madly in love with her.

Okay, lets talk about Kurt. He wasn't my favorite character but, I didn't like how Isla kind of dumped him when she got together with Josh. I think it seemed fitting that he found more friends.

Catalonia, Spain, I knew trouble was coming. When they decided to go, I was yelling at them in my head, of course. If Josh wasn't already in trouble, I wouldn't have cared. But, they were just so stupid! They should have known. Also Isla blaming Hattie was so unfair, it really wasn't her fault.

So now the comic book, when Josh sent it to her and she read it I was pissed, at Josh. I felt so sorry for Isla, some people might think she overreacted, but I believe her reaction was very normal. Then, she broke up with him because her insecurities and I can't even... What annoyed me was, SHE broke up with Josh, then SHE moped around very clearly still in love with him. I JUST..... ARGH!!!!! That part annoyed me beyond end.

On a happier note, when she gave Hattie the key I was smiling so much that people were staring at me. It was so cute, and how Hattie sent the book to him. It was way too cute.

The ending was amazing, *fangirls* It was so cute (I can't say that enough can I?) Anna and  Etienne are still my top couple, but Lola and Cricket are a close second. Isla and Josh were very cute but, they come in third. The Proposal! *squeals* It was so cute! I have heard they are too young blah blah blah... But, I think it was perfect. You know the ending of Isla and the Happily Ever After really brought the book up a few notches. It was way to cute, the comic book and the fact that Josh was waiting, was so adorable. Okay that's all I have. I know it probably looks like I hated this one but I didn't I just didn't enjoy the couple as much it was still an amazing read. I hope Stephanie Perkins writes more.
